The negotiations to conclude a Canada-European Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) have been ongoing since 2009 and are expected to conclude this year. Our speakers have been closely involved in the negotiations since their onset. They will provide a general overview of the status of the negotiations, the key issues yet to be resolved, the priorities of the Ontario government and a business perspective on the Agreement.

Acting Manager, Trade Policy Branch, Ontario Ministry of Economic Development and Innovation
Gordon Jansen has been an active participant in trade and international policy issues for over three decades. Gordon is a lead negotiator in internal and international trade negotiations on behalf of the Province of Ontario, including the current CETA negotiations.
Jason Langrish
Executive Director, Canada Europe Roundtable for Business
The Roundtable is an advocacy group that has been deeply involved in the launch of negotiations for CETA. In addition to his position on the Roundtable, Jason is Senior Advisor for the Canada-India Business Council, and previously worked in the Trade and Commercial Policy Section at the Canadian Mission to the European Union in Brussels.
