The Bill Graham Centre is hosting an upcoming Conference, titled, “Regional Governments in International Affairs: Lessons from the Arctic.” It will take place from September 17-19 at Trinity College and the Munk School of Global Affairs at the University of Toronto. The conference is an initiative of the Bill Graham Centre for Contemporary International History and the Munk-Gordon Arctic Security Program with generous support from The Gordon Foundation.
The conference will feature a roster of high profile speakers who have confirmed their attendance, such as the Hon. Bill Graham, former Canadian Minister of Foreign Affairs; the Hon. Jean Charest, former Premier of Québec; Senator Lesil McGuire, Member of the Alaskan Senate; the Hon. Tony Penikett, former Premier of Yukon; the Hon. Steve Cowper, former Governor of Alaska; Madeleine Redfern, the former Mayor of Iqaluit; and the Hon. Svein Ludvigsen, former Norwegian Minister of Fisheries and Coastal Affairs and current Governor of the County of Troms.
For all students interested in attending, there are 5 bursaries available to post-secondary students in the amount of $1000 each. The deadline for the application is Friday August 21 2015. See below for the application information and form.
